In the year marking the centenary of the birth of Francisco Pereira de Moura (1925–2025), ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics & Management of the Universidade de Lisboa inaugurates an exhibition dedicated to the life and legacy of one of the most notable Portuguese economists and professors.
A prominent figure in Portugal’s political, academic, and economic history, Pereira de Moura introduced modern economics to national higher education, was a leading figure in the 1949 curricular reform, an opponent of the Estado Novo regime, and a minister in provisional governments after April 25th. His academic, civic, and political impact is commemorated in this exhibition.
